Terms of Service

These cover what to expect from me and what I ask of you when you book. chedeuxx is the trading name of Chedeuxx LLC, an Ohio limited liability company. This page is the short version. The full agreement is at chedeuxx.com/contract, and where the two differ, the agreement wins.
1. Booking and payment
You can book a portrait session or a flash sale time online, or message me for anything custom. Online, you pick a time, tick a box agreeing to the booking terms, and pay a deposit of half the price. The time is held for 30 minutes while you pay and is yours once the deposit goes through. The other half is due on the day, before we start, by cash, Venmo or card. Payments are handled by Stripe; I never see your card number.
Every paid booking needs a deposit, including concerts and custom shoots. Concerts are booked by request: once we agree the details I send a deposit link, and the date is only held once it's paid.
2. Moving or cancelling
You can move your booking for free as many times as you need, as long as it's at least 24 hours before the session and another time is open. Use the link in your confirmation email. The deposit moves with you. Deposits are non-refundable, even if you cancel early, so if you can't make it, move it instead. You can also switch packages the same way: a bigger package means paying the deposit difference when you switch, and a smaller one means you owe less on the day, with no refund of the deposit. Flash sale times can move but can't switch packages. If you cancel, the deposit isn't refunded. If I cancel, you get everything back within 7 days. If weather or the location falls through, we find a new time first, and if we can't within 30 days I refund the deposit minus Stripe's card processing fee (Stripe keeps that fee when a payment is refunded). Any other refund I give outside these terms is a one-time exception and also comes back minus that fee.
3. Your session
Please be on time. A late start doesn't push the end time back, and after 30 minutes with no word it counts as a cancellation. You're responsible for anyone you bring. Under 18? A parent or guardian books and comes along.
4. Getting your photos
I pick and edit the best frames and send a private gallery link, within 10 days of a portrait session. Your confirmation email lists your exact turnaround. The gallery stays up for 90 days, so download your photos before then. Raw or unedited files aren't part of a package.
5. Copyright and use
I keep the copyright. You get a personal licence to download, print and share your photos. Selling them or using them for a business or brand needs a separate agreement. I may share some in my portfolio and on social; tell me if you'd rather I didn't.
6. Liability
If I can't deliver a session, the most I owe you is what you paid for it.
7. Changes
I may update these terms. The version on this site the day you book is the one that applies to you, and older versions stay up at chedeuxx.com/contract/versions.
